Sekisui Eslon Polyboard-UM is a material produced by press-forming ultra high molecular weight polyethylene having an MW of 350 to 5 million (by light scattering) manufactured by the low pressure method. It has superior properties because its molecular weight is 10 times higher than that of ordinary polyethylene or more, and in particular, abrasion resistance, sliding properties and impact resistance are excellent among all the plastics, so it finds wide use from industry-related application to production fields. The operating temperature range is from an ultra-low temperature of -100°C or less, up to 90 to 100°C, and with a specific gravity of 0.94, it is one of the lightest plastics.
